Digital Prepress Artwork Instructions and Upload Portal

General

• Layered Adobe Illustrator files are required
• Illustrator files must include die lines and dimensions
• If an Illustrator version of your file is not available, please contact your Account Manager
• Maximum print area: 12.5" (317.5 mm) x 38.58" (979.9 mm)

Fonts

• All text should be converted to outlines
• If outlined files are unavailable, all required font files must be supplied

Placed Images

• Supply high‑resolution images at 300 ppi or greater
• Layered Photoshop files are preferred
• Embedded images will print as supplied
• RGB images will be converted to CMYK and may produce unexpected color results

Color

• Artwork will print using CMYK process
• Use spot colors when color matching is required
• Pantone® colors will be visually matched as closely as possible to the Pantone® color book
• Custom colors will print as supplied unless color targets are provided
• Spot color channels are required for matching Pantone and custom colors used within images
• Additional orange, green, violet, and silver inks are available to improve color accuracy

White Plate

• When a special white ink application is required (such as clear window areas), a custom white plate must be supplied
• A custom white plate should be created on its own layer, using its own custom white spot color.
• White plates must:
  • Be created on their own layer
  • Use a custom white spot color
  • Be set to overprint all other artwork

• Files requiring a white plate that do not include one may be subject to additional setup charges

File Submission

• Package and compress all files before submission
• Include all supporting font and image files
• Submit files using one of the following methods:
  • Digital Artwork Portal: See link below
  • FTP Download: If files are hosted on your FTP, please provide the FTP address, filenames, and login credentials
  • Email: Files up to 5MB can be sent to [email protected]
  • File Transfer Services: Websites similar to WeTransfer, TransferBigFiles.com, Drop Box
